Step into a rewarding opportunity working onsite with students in a vibrant urban environment, supporting a diverse K-12 population with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID). As a contract Physical Therapist, you will provide direct services to a small, manageable caseload, ensuring each child receives individualized attention. This full-time position covers 35 hours per week with a commitment running through June 10, 2027, offering stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact over multiple school years.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and valid Physical Therapy license/certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Prior experience in a school-based setting, with an understanding of K-12 student needs
• Comfort and experience working with ASD and ID populations
• Willingness to work exclusively onsite in an urban school environment
• Ability to handle low incidental classroom settings with professionalism
• Willing to obtain current Pennsylvania clearances as required for school positions
• Strong communication skills and adaptability across various education teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct PT services for a range of K-12 students, empowering those with ASD and ID to achieve educational milestones
• Collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, and school teams to integrate therapy goals into the students’ individualized education plans
• Adapt approaches and interventions to suit each child’s unique learning and physical needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in regular interdisciplinary meetings
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for students to thrive
• Ensure all professional paperwork, including licensure documentation, is current and submitted as required
