Surgical Tech II

Seeking a Surgical Technician to assist in the operating room environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Responsibilities include preparing for procedures by arranging instruments and supplies, ensuring equipment functionality, maintaining a sterile environment, labeling and dispatching solutions, and participating in specimen management. The role requires knowledge of procedural steps, dexterity with instrumentation, and adherence to infection control policies and safety guidelines. The technician will attend meetings, follow work schedules, and perform other duties to ensure optimal patient care and safety. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program, and certification by recognized boards (e.g., NBSTSA or NCT). Preferred experience includes at least one year as a Surgical Technician. Certification requirements include a Surgical Technician Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with BLS obtained within 90 days of hiring.
