Role Description The Tactical Training Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Twentynine Palms, CA, focused on planning, delivering, and evaluating tactical training for military and defense‑related personnel. This role involves developing and updating training curricula, coordinating training schedules, and conducting classroom, field, and simulation‑based instruction that aligns with current doctrine and operational requirements. The specialist will observe and assess trainees’ performance, provide constructive feedback, and prepare reports and training documentation to support continuous improvement. Daily responsibilities also include collaborating with program managers and other trainers to ensure training objectives are met, maintaining training equipment and materials, and adhering to all safety and security protocols on the installation. Qualifications Strong tactical training, instruction, and curriculum development skills, with experience delivering classroom and field‑based training. Proficiency in training evaluation, performance assessment, and after‑action reporting to improve trainee readiness and program effectiveness. Operational experience in military or defense environments, with familiarity with current doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to brief diverse audiences and work within multidisciplinary teams. Solid organizational and time‑management abilities to plan training events, manage documentation, and meet program deadlines. Ability to work on‑site in Twentynine Palms, CA, and comply with installation, safety, and security requirements; eligibility to obtain and maintain any required clearances. Prior military service or experience supporting DoD training programs strongly preferred.
