OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in New York City, NY by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Run nationwide dry van routes out of New York, NY, piloting late-model tractors with APUs, inverters and sleepers. You’ll average about 2,500 miles weekly on dependable OTR lanes and work with a driver-focused dispatch team.

Core responsibilities:

• Operate company equipment safely, complete accurate hours-of-service logs and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Secure freight, adhere to DOT and company safety procedures, and maintain clean inspection records.
• Communicate maintenance needs to our in-house shop for quick service.

Qualifications & benefits:

• CDL-A and minimum 12 months OTR experience required. Pay begins at 65 CPM plus safety/inspection/referral bonuses, home every two weeks, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k).
