Company Description Dulaney, Lauer & Thomas, LLP is a small, highly focused law firm seeking a personal injury paralegal in its Warrenton VA office . The firm specializes in serious accident, personal injury, and wrongful death matters. Role Description The Personal Injury Paralegal will support attorneys with all aspects of case management in a full-time, on-site role based in Warrenton, VA. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and maintaining client files, drafting and formatting legal documents and correspondence, and managing deadlines and court calendars. The role involves collecting and summarizing medical records, police reports, and other evidence, as well as conducting factual and legal research to support case strategy. The paralegal will communicate frequently with clients, healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and court personnel, ensuring professional, timely, and accurate information exchange. Additional tasks include preparing discovery responses, assisting with settlement packages, and supporting attorneys with trial preparation and hearing logistics. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of Law related to personal injury practice, including case procedures and terminology. Strong Legal Document Preparation skills, including drafting complaints, discovery requests, demand letters, and correspondence. Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, medical providers, insurers, and court staff. Proficient Research abilities to gather case facts, review medical and accident records, and support legal analysis. Careful Document Review skills to identify key details, verify accuracy, and maintain organized, complete case files. Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Proficiency with law firm case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic document systems. Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff while exercising sound judgment and discretion. Paralegal certificate or relevant degree is preferred; equivalent experience in a law firm setting will be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
