Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, hearing, and language impairments. 2. Provides a therapeutic program and develops specific performance objectives to meet individual needs of speech and hearing handicapped children, as prescribed by the Evaluation Team, and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by suggestions for the student's daily activities; 3. Maintains thorough, ongoing records of referred, screened, and eligible students, as well as individual students receiving therapy or other school-provided speech services. Maintains a directory of outside agencies, consultants, specialists, and related services and when requested, assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community, as appropriate. 4. Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement, and provides information, support, and counseling to parents and families when appropriate; 5. Maintains and improves professional competence through attendance at professional development events, and by self-generated activities that meet district expectations and the requirements for re-certification; 6. Shares responsibility for accomplishing the goals and priorities of their grade/team/department, building and school district, attending all faculty and department meetings as required, and district-wide committees as needed; 7. Working with ASD students in the sub separate program and with inclusion students. 8. Licensed in Speech, Language, & Hearing Disorders by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, and certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; 2. Master's Degree, from an accredited college or university, in a related field; 3. Commitment to equity and inclusive practices 4. Strong content knowledge of service delivery for a variety of communication needs 5. Familiarity with AAC devices 6. Strong collaboration skills 7. Experience sharing findings with families in family friendly language. 8. Open and responsive to feedback At least 4 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. Master degree preferred.
