The role involves a range of administrative and customer‑service tasks that provide valuable support to the hospital. In the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist. Olympia Pet Emergency in Olympia, Washington is a dedicated emergency hospital providing urgent and critical care services. Our fast‑paced, highly skilled team is committed to delivering life‑saving care with compassion and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service in‑person, over the phone, and during high‑stress situations. Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments. Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and wellbeing. Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products. Input and manage data in practice‑management software, including billing and accounts. Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records. Reconcile cash drawer and perform end‑of‑day duties for accurate financial transactions.
