Loan Officer

Job Title

To assist Farm Bureau Family Credit Union (FBFCU) members in a variety of roles, including the duties of lender, teller, and general member service.

Assist members in a friendly, professional manner.

Demonstrate adaptability and a positive attitude when faced with complex situations.

Analyze, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies.

Develop knowledge of consumer loans and new account applications.

Process and complete new account and loan applications following established policies and procedures without error.

Evaluate risk to underwrite member loan requests.

Process member transactions with accuracy and maintain a balanced teller cash drawer.

Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.

Use knowledge and judgment to protect members and FBFCU from loss.

Complete projects to assist in the advancement of the credit union.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be bondable and have a credit report that demonstrates fiscal responsibility as defined by FBFCU policy.

Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Prior consumer lending, teller, and member/customer service experience preferred.
