Junior Accountant

Client Overview:

Our client, a growing real estate company, is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their Accounting team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60k - $70k

Position Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build a long-term career in accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, hardworking, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with account reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable, including invoice entry and payment support.
• Assist with general accounting functions, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
• Retrieve, sort, and distribute incoming mail and accounting-related correspondence.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with data entry, filing, and other administrative accounting duties.
• Support the accounting team with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal team members to resolve accounting-related inquiries.

Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:

• Internship or prior accounting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:

• Internship or entry-level experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or finance.
• Interest in building a long-term career within the real estate industry.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
