RN - Experienced Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Employment Information Employment Type: Part time. Shift: 12 Hour Evening Shift. Position Purpose The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates in the spirit of teamwork and is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization. Responsibilities Provide nursing care, ensure a patient‑safety environment, promote evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibit professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®. Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components. Accurately communicate pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner, keeping patient and families apprised. Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately and completely in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and guidelines. Assume responsibility and accountability for care and documentation provided by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate from a school of nursing. Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. For casual RNs: 2 years of experience required. All new graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience will participate in the Nurse Residency Program.
