Youth Care Worker- Part Time

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to join our team in a part-time role supporting young people in a safe, structured, and encouraging environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building positive relationships, promoting healthy development, and contributing to a team focused on care, consistency, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to youth in a residential setting.
• Build positive, professional relationships that encourage trust, accountability, and personal growth.
• Assist with daily routines, activities, meals, transportation, and other program needs as assigned.
• Support youth in developing social, emotional, and life skills through guidance and modeling.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times.
• Monitor behavior, respond appropriately to concerns, and de-escalate situations using approved techniques.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other professionals to support individualized care plans.
• Follow all agency policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth, adolescents, or vulnerable populations is preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive in challenging situations.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic documentation skills.
• Mandated Reporters Training
• Must be able to pass any required background checks and meet applicable licensing or training requirements.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with trauma-informed care or behavior support practices.
• Familiarity with youth development, mentoring, or residential care environments.
• Training in crisis intervention, first aid, or CPR.
