Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments through physical examinations and comprehensive evaluations of medical histories
• Assist in determining the diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work in conjunction with surgeons to formulate and implement individualized surgical treatment strategies
• Support the surgical team during operations by preparing the surgical environment, ensuring patient readiness, and passing instruments with precision
• Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which includes medication management, wound treatment, discharge planning, and delivering patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant training program
• Experience with clinical rotations focused on surgical practices is highly preferred

Certification Needs

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant is required

Essential Skills

• In-depth knowledge of surgical techniques and adherence to sterile practices
