Overview Little Blue Valley Sewer District (LBVSD), a public agency created in 1968, operates two wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for environmental excellence. Job Title Environmental Laboratory Analyst Key Responsibilities Conduct laboratory testing and environmental sampling to support wastewater treatment operations and regulatory compliance. Maintain analytical equipment, perform quality control activities, and ensure adherence to laboratory SOPs and safety requirements. Manage laboratory data, documentation, and reporting to maintain accurate, defensible records. Support industrial pretreatment, environmental monitoring, and continuous process improvement efforts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science, or related field OR Associate’s degree in the same field. At least 2 years related experience. Experience with office and communications equipment and software. Highly proficient with MS Office software and databases. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
