Job Overview A law firm seeks a dedicated Litigation Attorney in Charleston, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in personal injury litigation, providing high-quality legal services and contributing to the firm's success. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis for case preparation and strategy development. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements. Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations as necessary. Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide insights based on research findings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting practice areas. Assist clients with various legal matters, ensuring their rights are protected throughout the process. Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is accurate and organized. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Admission to the West Virginia State Bar and in good standing. Previous experience in a law office setting is preferred but not required. Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research methodologies. Familiarity with personal injury law and other forms of civil litigation is highly desirable. Excellent legal drafting skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
