Patient Services Registrar - Lead

Position Summary Leads frontline registration operations while performing high-level registration and administrative functions. Ensures efficient workflow, staff coordination, and quality performance across the registration team. Serves as the primary point of contact during assigned shifts, supporting both staff and departmental needs. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced registration and administrative duties with a high level of accuracy and efficiency Coordinate daily workflow by assigning, organizing, and delegating tasks to registration team members Develop staff rotations, including workstation assignments, break schedules, and coverage planning Act as the first point of contact for staff support, issue resolution, and interdepartmental collaboration Monitor registration quality, identify errors, and provide real-time coaching and corrective feedback Provide leadership with feedback on employee performance and development opportunities Promote a positive and engaged work culture through clear expectations and recognition Maintain ownership of productivity, worklists, and performance metrics Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Model professionalism, strong customer service, teamwork, and patient-centered care Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills Maintain flexible availability to support operational needs (Monday–Friday with variable hours) Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Proficiency in computer systems and ability to navigate multiple platforms. Experience with Cerner preferred. Previous healthcare experience required. Strong customer service and phone communication skills required. Demonstrated leadership and team coordination abilities. Work Shift Details Days: Primary hours: 9a-5:30p, 10a-6:30p. Primary days: Monday through Friday with occasional weekend rotation. Primary location: Homer Glen with occasional rotation to Main Campus. Department: REGISTRATION. Compensation The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
