A Day in the Field

You roll up to your first light commercial call, greet the customer, and get to work. One visit might have you tuning a high-velocity system; the next could involve diagnosing a ductless unit or restoring heat to a steam or hot-water system. Using specialized tools, you tackle airflow hiccups, fuel delivery concerns, refrigerant issues, and electrical faults—then translate your findings into plain language that helps customers boost comfort, efficiency, and safety.

Midday, you take a few minutes to coach a junior technician, sharing practical tips that build skill and confidence. Before heading to the next job, you update detailed service notes and verify truck inventory so you’re always prepared.

What You’ll Handle

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair forced-air, steam, hot water, oil, high-velocity, and ductless HVAC systems.
• Resolve airflow, fuel, refrigerant, and electrical challenges using specialized tools.
• Educate customers on improvements for comfort, energy efficiency, and safety.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians.
• Keep accurate service logs and manage truck stock.

What You Bring

• 2–5 years of HVAC experience with strong trade knowledge.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Dependable work ethic, reliability, and a growth mindset.
• Calm under pressure and a positive team contributor.

Physical Expectations

• Lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, in crawl spaces, and across varied terrains.
• Comfort working outdoors in heat, cold, and changing conditions.
