The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD drafting, land surveying, and Autodesk Civil 3D. You will be a part of a collaborative team, and your expertise will be crucial in the planning and execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

As a CAD technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Preparing and revising detailed CAD drawings for construction projects.
2. Collaborating with engineers, architects, and construction team members to understand project requirements.
3. Utilizing CAD software to develop detailed designs and technical schematics.
4. Performing land surveying tasks to gather data for civil engineering projects.
5. Applying Autodesk Civil 3D to design, draft, and organize all types of civil engineering projects.
6. Ensuring all design work meets the standards and specifications set by the project team.
7. Conducting quality control checks on drawings and plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
8. Managing and maintaining project documentation and records.
9. Assisting in the development of design standards and procedures.
10. Providing technical support to project teams as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the CAD technician role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Civil 3D CAD Drafting, Land Surveying, SUE, utilities, or similar experience
2. An associate's degree or higher in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred but not a requirement
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
4. Excellent technical drawing skills with a keen eye for detail.
5. Strong understanding of construction methods and processes.
6. Knowledge of civil engineering concepts and land surveying techniques.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact effectively with all levels of staff.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information.
