Sr. Treasury Accountant

A Houston-based investment firm is seeking a Senior Treasury Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This position combines treasury and accounting responsibilities, with a strong focus on cash activity, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting and audit support.The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of public accounting or treasury experience within a high-volume, multi-entity environment. Key ResponsibilitiesManage and account for daily cash and treasury activity across 100+ bank accounts and multiple legal entities.Perform high-volume bank reconciliations and research and resolve reconciling items.Record cash-related journal entries and ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger.Monitor cash activity, transfers, deposits, disbursements, and other banking transactions.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to treasury and cash accounts.Reconcile bank activity to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation across multiple entities.Assist with financial reporting and analysis related to cash and treasury activity.Provide schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.Support internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.Partner with accounting, finance, investment, and other internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes, reconciliations, controls, and reporting.
