Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician position is responsible for independently performing both basic/routine and complex/non-routine maintenance, repair and performance of production equipment in accordance with Safety Standards, SOP's and Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements. The Maintenance Technician may be required to help, assist, instruct and train others on the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repair and maintenance of equipment.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesIndependently modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoots various types of injection press & axillary equipmentDiagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, retrofitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, troubleshooting and analytical problem solvingDiagnose electrical faults and failures and trouble shoot solutions by performing control system analysis and interpretation of PLC ladder logic diagrams to solve problemsFix and maintain plant equipment including air compressors, chillers, water towers, and fire systemsSupport the timely and effective line handover between shifts, including the completion of proper documentation and accurate briefing on progress/issues within the Maintenance team and Production SupervisorsIndependently conduct PM activities according to PM program schedules and standardsTrain others to handle equipment changeover, set up, take downRecommend and implement solutions to both routine and unique equipment problems, including fabricating or modification of alternate components as needed.Respond to equipment problems in a timely and customer oriented mannerSolve problems independently as per standard guidelines and procedures, as well as developing new procedures as needed to address non-routine and complex issuesMaintain high standards of organization and general housekeepingIntegrate all plant, quality, safety, and security policies and guidelines into all day to day activities on the jobFollow all proper maintenance, sanitation and Environmental Health and Safety protocols at all timesDemonstrated track record of excellent attendance (i.e. no attendance write-ups)All other work as assigned by managementEssential FunctionsIndependently modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues for various types of press and axillary equipment in rubber manufacturingDiagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the advanced principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, troubleshooting and analytical problem solvingSupport the timely and effective line handover between shifts, including the completion of proper documentation and accurate briefing on progress/issues within the Maintenance Team and Production SupervisorsSolve problems independentlyWork cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors as a Quality Focused, Service Oriented Team PlayerSupervisory ResponsibilityNoneSkill and ExperienceTrade school certification or accreditation5 years' experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systems and equipmentPLC experience with AB PLC-5 or SeimensTrained in hydraulics or 5 years' relevant experienceTrained in pneumatics of 5 years' relevant experienceSkilled in lockout tag outWritten skills for document completion and useAble to acquire new skills as per training providedFinding informationMust be able to read blueprints and schematics and technical sketchesLiterate in Microsoft Office SuitePhysical RequirementsJob consists of many repetitive tasksMust be able to stand for extended periodsWorking on elevated surfaces such as ladders, platforms, hoists as requiredMust be able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and otherwise maneuver the plantUses hands and fingers to handle and feelMust be able to communicate effectivelyListens to machines to troubleshoot problemsMust have strong visual abilities at close, distance, and peripheral with ability to sharp focus and perceive depthHandling and lifting loads up to 50lbsEnvironment contains loud noisesStrong attention to detailAirBoss Flexible Products is an equal opportunity employer.
