Opportunity:
Physician – Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services with 12 patient encounters per shift
• Must hold an active Kentucky medical license
• Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible
• BLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 45 days
• Perform upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), and injection of varices
• Perform ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) – both diagnostic and therapeutic
• Perform PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
• Perform small bowel biopsy
• Perform lower GI endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy – both flexible and rigid
• Perform colonoscopy including with biopsy and excision of polyp
• Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
• Locum tenens engagement with ASAP start date on an ongoing basis

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
