Technical Program & Product Manager

ROLE_DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program & Product Manager to lead technology initiatives for a financial-services client. The role requires a strong combination of project/program management, product management, technical understanding, and stakeholder engagement to drive delivery from requirements through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects and digital/product initiatives.
• Partner with business, product, engineering, architecture, and operations teams to define requirements, priorities, and delivery roadmaps.
• Own and manage product backlog, user stories, priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Translate business needs into clear technical and functional requirements.
• Drive Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, release planning, status reporting, and executive updates.
• Coordinate across multiple development and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Track project scope, schedule, resources, risks, and overall delivery health.
• Work closely with engineering teams on APIs, integrations, data flows, cloud-based solutions, and enterprise applications.
• Ensure solutions meet banking requirements related to security, risk, compliance, and data governance.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear communication on progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Technology Project Management, Product Management, or Program Management.
• Strong experience working with banking, capital markets, payments, wealth management, or broader financial-services technology.
• Experience managing large-scale technology/product implementations.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, databases, and system integrations.
• Strong requirements gathering, backlog management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, CSM/SAFe, CSPO/PSPO, or similar certification.

Experience working in highly regulated financial-services environments.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Understanding of data, analytics, cybersecurity, and regulatory/compliance considerations within banking.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on leader who can operate effectively between business/product stakeholders and technology teams, take ownership of delivery, and drive complex financial-services initiatives from concept through production.

Writing approach: I positioned this as a hybrid Technical Project Manager + Product Manager role rather than a traditional PM, with stronger emphasis on banking-domain delivery, product ownership, technology integration, and stakeholder management.
