You will report to a Production Supervisor. Your work will directly affect people's lives!Wage progression:1st scheduled raise after training (8-10 weeks)Additional wage progression is based on the number of qualifications. The more you know and can do, the more you can make.Responsibilities:Must perform all job tasks in a safe manner by following all of the mandatory safety requirements and guidelines.Ability and willingness to adjust to change and to be assigned to any production area in the department, or work on other non-production related tasks.Work safely and use good judgement in all work situations.Effectively resolve and troubleshoot problems.Work effectively with others to accomplish goals and take ownership.Start up and stop equipment.Take and follow instructions from supervisors.Able to follow documented step-by-step instructions and accurately document completion of each step.Work with equipment following set safety procedure, including working with hazardous chemicals, laboratory, and other devices.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Perform basic quality and process checks.Qualifications:Able to work in any area of the department.Manually lift up to 50 LBS.Flexible to be pulled from one job to the next and then go back to first job as needed.Able to work in a respirator.Able to climb fixed ladders, portable ladders, extension ladders.Able to work overtime as necessary.Able to stand/sit for long periods and frequently use stairs, catwalks, and ladders.About Us:PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD®Through leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
