Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel contract requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 3 years of ER experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital in Marysville, CA (Yuba-Sutter County area)
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Epic EMR used; experience is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license, unrestricted and in good standing, required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Current PALS certification (American Heart Association) required at time of hire
• TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire
• Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation required within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Recent ER experience within the last 3 months required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active, unrestricted license with no prior license violations
• 2 supervisory references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
• Candidates must provide Date of Birth and Social Security Number for consideration

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated shift
• Develops and implements nursing care plans consistent with the medical plan of care, incorporating patient and family input
• Collaborates with physicians and the broader healthcare team to coordinate patient care delivery
• Delegates patient care tasks to nursing staff in accordance with their clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan
• This position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)
• RTO is capped at 5 days for the duration of the contract; requests exceeding this will result in automatic disqualification
• MICN and CEN certifications are preferred
• BSN is preferred
