Job Category Power Solutions Group Employee Type Non-Exempt FT Required Degree High school Travel 50% Manage Others No Contact information Name Danny Mathon Description As a Field Service Technician , you’ll play a key role in supporting our customers by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical power distribution equipment. You’ll work hands‑on with a wide range of systems, deliver exceptional service, and be a trusted resource in the field representing Sunbelt Solomon. What You’ll Do Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment. Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment. Respond to customer needs—including occasional emergency calls with professionalism and urgency. Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards. Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation. Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment. Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments. Requirements High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred. NETA 3 certification preferred; will substitute 5-10 years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics. Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements. Physical capability to work outdoors, lift up to 75 lbs., operate tools, and use required PPE (arc-flash gear, fall protection, respirators, etc.).
