Maintenance Technician

**Job Description** **Position Title** **: ** **Maintenance**   **Pay Rate** : $28.51/hr. up to $40.12/hr. **Category/Shift** : Hourly Full-Time (7AM- 7PM and 7PM-7AM) 12 hour rotating shifts, weekends and overtime as required. **Physical Location** : Bay Minette Container 100 Dickman Road Bay Minette, AL 36507 View phone number on click.appcast.io **The Job You Will Perform:** + Following all safety rules, policies and practices + Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components and observing operations to determine proper functions + Performing emergency/breakdown maintenance as necessary to support plant operations + Ability to use multi-meter(s) to test electrical circuits, components, etc. using DC or AC voltage + Ability to read and understand electrical block diagrams and wiring schematics + Ability to exchange motors, gearboxes, sheaves, sprockets, belts, chains, etc. with proper alignment upon assembly + Fully understand functions of limit and proximity switches and their effects to PLC's + Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC drive systems to determine cause of faults or failures + Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems controlled by switches or PLC's + Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems from solenoids, switches, valves, etc. + Knowledge with conveyor system and their operations + Familiar with a diverse range of hand tools and their operations such as grinders, drills, Metabo, reciprocating saws, etc. + Self-motivated, able to follow through to completion with assigned responsibilities + Maintain a clean and organized work area in respect to the "5-S Program" + Ability to openly communicate + Ability to effectively work with internal customers in the facility to maintain a strong working relationship between production employees and maintenance employees **The Skills You Will Bring:** + Technical experience and reliability **The Benefits You Will Enjoy:** International Paper offers a benefits package that includes health, welfare and retirement plans including Medical, Dental, Life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short-term Disability, 401(k) and/or Pension (where applicable), Paid Time Off, Education & Development (including Tuition Reimbursement), and Voluntary Benefits including insurance for home, auto, vision and pets.  **The Impact You Will Make:** We continue to build a better future for people, the planet, and our company!
