You’ll collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to create a supportive environment tailored to the diverse needs of each child.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in Michigan
• Experience working within school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Familiarity with current best practices for school OTs
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload across K-12 grade levels
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students to determine their unique needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Work one-on-one and in small groups to provide therapy focused on fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate OT goals into classroom routines
• Document evaluations, progress, and services in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as a supportive advocate for student achievement
• Offer professional recommendations to support school accommodations and modifications
