ABOUT THE ROLE
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a highly organized and relationship-driven Sr. Coordinator, Memorabilia Acquisition to support the sourcing, acquisition, and operational management of relic and memorabilia assets across our sports portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a first-of-its-kind memorabilia acquisition program across some of the most iconic licenses in sports, including the NFL and NBA. You’ll work to source one-of-a-kind assets that end up in the hands of collectors worldwide. This role will play a key part in executing our relic acquisition strategy, managing partnerships with teams, vendors, auction houses, and other industry stakeholders, and helping ensure inventory is sourced, tracked, and allocated effectively to support product needs. Sitting at the intersection of procurement, operations, inventory, and brand, this person will help build scalable processes, maintain strong external relationships, and provide critical coordination across the full memorabilia acquisition lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment where strong judgment, communication, and follow‑through are essential.WHAT YOU’LL DO
Generate, sign, account for, and manage all relic‑related interactions with teams and entities around the NBA and NFL. Operate the relic acquisition program, including negotiating and finalizing deals with teams, auction houses, talent, agents, and third‑party vendors across sports and entertainment properties. Spearhead the development of a new organizational procedure to accurately track relic purchasing data to share with inventory, finance, and brand departments. Work directly with brand teams to review product relic needs, provide insight on relic procurement details, outline cost information on a per‑item basis, and manage operational deadlines. Communicate with inventory teams to consistently analyze the short‑ and long‑term outlook of our current relic supply and develop a sustainable strategy for inventory turnover. Manage and communicate relic procurement developments and ongoing issues to brand and operation teams. Oversee the lifecycle of the organization’s relic‑related contracts while monitoring dates of legal significance such as expirations and options. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures by verifying all services are executed on both sides. Foster and maintain relationships with third‑party authenticators and exercise sound judgment on the authentication of relics.WHAT YOU BRING
3+ years of experience in memorabilia acquisition, collectibles, sports partnerships, procurement, inventory operations, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience coordinating or supporting acquisition programs, vendor relationships, or contract‑driven processes. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and track complex workflows. Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with external partners and internal cross‑functional stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively. Sound judgment and a solutions‑oriented mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams including brand, inventory, finance, legal, and operations. Experience reviewing, tracking, or managing agreements, deadlines, and deliverables with a high level of accountability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to build and maintain databases to support tracking and coordination across teams. Passion for sports, memorabilia, and collectibles, with a strong understanding of the sports landscape and related industry dynamics. Willingness and flexibility to travel and support time‑sensitive acquisition activity outside of standard business hours when needed. We are a federal contractor or subcontractor.
