Role Overview
Were hiring a Metal Casting Finishing & FPI Line Operator to support production quality and throughput. Depending on demand, you may work in the Finishing, FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection), or X‑Ray department.
Primary Responsibilities Finishing- Operate automated finishing cells in accordance with job-specific work instructions.
- Load the saw fixture to remove gating and risers safely and efficiently.
- Conduct visual inspections to meet customer specifications while sustaining production flow.
- Perform audits; gauge parts as required.
- Record scrap and/or production information in Plex.
- Propose task and finishing process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, sand-free workstation.
- Complete other assigned duties.
- Load and unload parts to and from the line.
- Inspect parts for visual defects.
- Use the Telesis system to mark parts; verify accuracy of markings.
- Visually inspect castings to customer requirements while keeping production moving.
- Enter scrap and/or production data into Plex.
- Recommend improvements to task execution and finishing.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Comfort operating in high-heat conditions.
- Read and comprehend work instructions.
- Write and complete required paperwork; enter information into the Plex system.
- Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
- Stand 8+ hours per shift.
