Experienced Electric Regulatory Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced associate to join its national electric practice in Seattle, WA. The role involves representing investor‑owned utilities, public power utilities, developers, and power marketers. The ideal candidate has over four years of electric regulatory experience and excels in detailed work on regulatory and contract matters. Duties Represent clients in electric regulatory matters. Draft and interpret contracts and regulatory documents. Engage with state utility commissions and courts. Conduct detailed legal research and analysis. Collaborate with a team to achieve client objectives. Requirements 4+ years of electric regulatory experience. Experience with state or federal regulatory bodies. Proven ability to interpret and apply statutes and regulations. Experience drafting pleadings, testimony, or tariffs is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong analytical research and writing skills. Exceptional communication skills.
