Procurement Specialist I

Procurement Specialist Location: Irvine, CA 92618 Schedule: Monday Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM (On-site) Employment Type: Contract / Temporary LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist for an on‑site opportunity in Irvine, CA. This role supports purchasing operations, vendor communication, and internal customer service in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience and familiarity with procurement systems. Key Responsibilities Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and CRM systems (ServiceNow) within established response timelines Document all interactions and perform follow‑ups as needed Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to purchase orders, vendors, and procurement processes Support users navigating online ordering platforms (including Oracle iProcurement) Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve account or ordering issues Analyze support data to identify trends and recommend process improvements Assist with system testing, enhancements, and rollout of procurement tools Contribute to internal documentation and training resources Support purchasing projects, supplier transitions, and additional team initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience required Procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience preferred (especially within healthcare or multi‑site environments) Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience using online ordering or procurement systems required Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Compensation Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour Work Environment & Additional Information Moderate office environment with standard equipment and computer usage Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs Overtime may be required based on business needs Consistent attendance and adherence to company policies are essential Benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an employee assistance program, commuter benefits, and a 401(k) plan.
