Equipment Operator

Lead OperatorCentral Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC), a Waste Connections company, is currently hiring for a full-time Lead Operator to work in our transfer station in Vancouver, WA.The schedule will be 10:00am to around 6:30pm on weekdays and 6:00am to around 4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.The starting wage will be $29/hr and additional $1/hr after positive 90 day review. We also offer great family benefits, 401k with a company match, paid vacation time, etc.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Operating a forklift and baler.Buying and sorting out materials from customers.Greeting, directing, discussing issues with, and educating customers of onsite rules and restrictions in a polite and courteous mannerDirecting and tracking incoming traffic and monitoring waste material flowSorting customer loads - heavy lifting of metalsFollowing all appropriate safety guidelines and precautions, wearing required safety gear, and maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all timesPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:Ability to safety operate equipment on site (forklift, skidsteer, baler)Ability to provide good customer service to the public.Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.High school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Basic knowledge of computer skills.To be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application.
