Pay Range:$88,600.00 - $124,200.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.Job DescriptionThe Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI, Remington and Speer. Federal is seeking a Product Line Manager who is responsible for annual product plans, product development, sales support, product launch, and more for our Shotshell department. We build the industry's widest variety of ammunition and offer leading products for every facet of the shooting sports. As such, this role is critical in contributing to our success.This position reports to the Global Product Lane Director and is based out of our Anoka, MN office. What you’ll do: Annual Product PlanningConduct required research and business analysisMonitor performance/trends of key competitors & retailersDevelop line strategies and launch scheduleValidate with sales & international subsidiariesProduct Development Participate on New Product TeamLead consumer researchGenerate consumer insights to drive new product developmentDirect Ideation and Concept development/testingDevelop and manage 5 year new product roadmapDeliver annual new product sales launch and sales targetsSpec new products (features, cost/pricing, etc)Develop critical path schedulesCoordinate development/testing with contract manufacturing & suppliersProduct LaunchCoordinate development of packaging and other collateral material with Marketing CommunicationsSupport development of product catalog and marketing materialsSales SupportConduct product workshops at annual Sales ConferenceProvide ongoing product trainingParticipate in key account calls when necessaryCreate derivatives/SMU’s and “special programs” for key accountsActively participate in key trade showsOngoing Product Line Management/Maintenance Track/analyze sales and profitability of new and existing productsProactively manage inventory (excess, backorders, etc)Assist in product forecasting and production planningExperience you bring: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience5-years experience in Marketing/Sales and/or development of new productsHunting and/or firearms industry experience (manufacturing or retail)Strong general knowledge of Ammunition types and usages.Experience in consumer products with proven resultsExcellent communications skillsAbility to work at all levels of the organizationProficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPointAbility to comfortably speak publiclyAbility to travel as neededYou might have: Sporting Goods retail experienceWork Environment:Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives.
