Human Resources Manager

Description Summary/Objective The Human Resources Manager leads the daily operations of the Human Resources department, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff; administering compensation, benefits, and leave programs; and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Essential Functions Serves as a member of the Leadership Team and collaborates with other leaders to develop and execute the organization’s human resources and talent strategy, particularly current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and succession planning. Manages and oversees the daily activities of a small team of Administrative Assistants, establishing priorities, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely completion of tasks Leads in the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants. Facilitates personnel and organizational meetings, including organizational chart reviews, new employee touch bases, and other discussions related to workforce planning and employee development. Creates and maintains learning and development programs that provide internal development opportunities for employees. Assists with employee conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, and termination processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance. Serves as the organization's subject matter expert for Paylocity, troubleshooting system issues, optimizing functionality, and partnering with Paylocity support to ensure effective system performance. Oversees accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll and related payroll administration tasks. Reviews bi-weekly payroll report to ensure the payroll is within budget and that employees’ pay is equitable based on their tenure, position, and skillset. Administers the organization's employee benefits programs, including new hire enrollment, open enrollment activities, coordination with benefits brokers, and review of monthly benefits invoices. Maintains and oversees relationships with staffing agency partners to support recruitment, workforce planning, and staffing initiatives. Assists with workplace safety programs and compliance initiatives, including OSHA recordkeeping and workers’ compensation claim administration. Helps lead and coordinate efforts for activities throughout the year for employees (i.e. food truck, cornhole tournament, Christmas gifts, etc.) Develops and communicates the company’s annual holiday calendar, ensuring employees have clear and timely information regarding scheduled holidays and facility closures. Work Environment Most work is performed in an office environment, yet this position will also collaborate with production staff in manufacturing areas. While on the production floor, the employee must wear appropriate personal safety protection equipment. Physical Demands The employee is frequently required to sit at a desk. The employee occasionally is required to stand or walk in the production areas. The employee may need to lift up to 10 lbs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position on 1st shift. Hours are flexible but Steinwall requires all office personnel to be in the office during the core hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. May need to come in early or stay late as needed to accommodate employees working other hours. Salaried, office personnel work more hours Monday-Thursday and then work remotely on Fridays working approximately only 4 hours. 45 hours a week is recommended. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $110,000. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
