Successful candidates must be able to learn rapidly, adapt confidently, and integrate with the client's culture from day one.The Incident Commander serves as a liaison between the client's security leadership and Surefox regional leadership. This position requires the command presence of a security professional combined with the service mindset of a hospitality professional. You will perform all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures, and all state & federal regulations.Other responsibilities include responding to emergency events, medical & non-medical issues, and handling client requests in a timely manner with an emphasis on customer service. Under certain circumstances, an Incident Commander will be expected to initiate preliminary investigations by writing incident reports on all internal client and company issues. To be successful in this position, you must be able to handle the physical demands of the role and the activity required as part of the static or foot patrol responsibilities of the various positions. We are looking for someone who has exceptional observational skills and pays close attention to detail.We are not offering visa sponsorship for this position at this time.Base Pay Rate: $35.00 per hourEmployment Type: Part-time and full-time positions availableSchedule: Shifts vary and will be discussed during the interviewRequired Upon Hire: Active California BSIS Guard Card and current CPR certificationWork Type: On-SiteBenefits: Competitive benefits package offered, 401(k) plan with competitive employer matchWhat you will do:Serve as a professional and approachable security representative, maintaining a visible command presence that reinforces safety, security, and hospitalityAct as the Incident Commander during medical and non-medical emergencies, coordinating response activities and contacting police, fire, or emergency medical services when requiredProvide lobby security while assisting employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and leadership with general information and workplace needsManage visitor check-in, temporary badges, parcel deliveries, lost-and-found items, and other front-of-house security responsibilitiesOperate Verkada CCTV, access-control, alarm, and badging systems to monitor activity, investigate concerns, and support daily security operationsConduct routine system checks, perform basic troubleshooting of Verkada cameras and connected devices, and escalate unresolved technical issuesPerform security patrols, monitor entrances and exits, verify authorization, and help prevent tailgating, theft, property loss, and other unauthorized activityRecognize unusual or suspicious activity and respond calmly, promptly, and safely in accordance with established proceduresPrepare accurate and timely incident, investigation, activity, and shift reports, including preliminary investigations when directedBuild positive relationships with client stakeholders and Surefox leadership while facilitating collaboration across departmentsTrack and report program performance, compliance requirements, and operational concerns within established guidelinesAdapt quickly to evolving systems, procedures, priorities, and client needs while maintaining a high level of attentiveness and professionalismPerform additional duties based on operational requirements, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 25 poundsRequirements:Active California BSIS Guard Card and current CPR certification upon hireHigh school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of ageAuthorization to work in the United StatesStrong customer-service and hospitality mindset with a demonstrated sense of duty of careProfessional appearance, grooming, communication, conduct, and approachable command presenceStrong verbal and written communication skills, including professional security report writingWorking knowledge of Verkada, including CCTV monitoring, access control, system navigation, device-health checks, and basic troubleshootingExperience with incident response, security patrols, workplace reception, visitor management, and mail or package handlingAbility to remain calm, exercise sound judgment, and communicate clearly during emergenciesAbility to work independently, accept feedback, learn quickly, and adapt to changing procedures and expectationsReliable transportation and the ability to consistently report to the assigned work locationAbility to successfully complete an extensive background investigation and drug screeningSkills desired:Experience in corporate security, workplace operations, technology environments, command centers, manufacturing facilities, law enforcement, or the militaryExperience supporting executives, engineers, technical teams, or high-growth organizationsExperience using Verkada Command for video surveillance, access control, alarms, investigations, and device troubleshootingEmergency-response or preliminary-investigation experienceStrong professional report-writing experienceWe encourage veterans and members of the military reserve are strongly encouraged to apply; however we welcome all candidates who share our dedication to service, safety, and protection.If you share our values and are ready to build your next career, we want to hear from you! #J-18808-Ljbffr
