About the Role

Quality Engineer | Drive Quality, Lead Continuous Improvement, Make an Impact

Are you a quality-focused professional with a passion for solving problems, improving processes, and exceeding customer expectations? We're looking for a Quality Engineer to take ownership of quality systems, customer requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new and revised programs, ensuring successful customer approvals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, driving timely resolution and satisfaction.
• Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to establish inspection methods, testing requirements, and quality standards.
• Work closely with suppliers to improve quality performance, certifications, and process capability.
• Develop and maintain control plans, while analyzing key metrics such as CP, CPK, PPM, and Cost of Quality to identify improvement opportunities.
• Investigate quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate and support internal audits, including IATF 16949, BIQS, and ISO 14001 compliance activities.
• Oversee material testing and certification processes.
• Train team members on quality best practices and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, Control Plans, and quality management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Skills

• Experience within the automotive industry.
