Principal Scientist, Translational Science Program Lead, Immunology
Johnson & Johnson
Principal Scientist leading translational science strategy for immunology programs from discovery through clinical development. This role owns end-to-end translational planning, biomarker strategy, and cross-functional execution for assigned therapeutic assets at Johnson & Johnson.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated translational plans connecting disease biology, mechanism, biomarkers, and clinical endpoints
- Lead precision medicine strategy including patient stratification, biomarker endpoints, and target product profile development
- Anticipate program inflection points and define critical evidence requirements, decision criteria, and risk mitigation
- Represent translational science across discovery and clinical teams, aligning partners around integrated recommendations
- Interpret preclinical and clinical data to generate actionable insights and communicate findings to governance bodies
Requirements
- Deep expertise in immunology and translational medicine
- Proven ability to develop integrated translational strategies and stage-appropriate evidence plans
- Strong proficiency analyzing multidimensional biomarker data and high-dimensional datasets
- Experience leading in matrixed environments and influencing cross-functional teams
- Track record translating disease biology and therapeutic mechanisms into clinical development decisions
- Demonstrated scientific credibility and external collaboration experience
