Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program or apprenticeship. Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry. Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports. Preferred Qualifications: Certification from a recognized body such as the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in diesel engines or heavy equipment. Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment and software. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations specific to construction equipment. Ability to operate heavy machinery for testing and troubleshooting purposes. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
