Senior Accountant

Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records. Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules. Monitor grant expenditures and assist with grant reporting. Support budget preparation and budget-to-actual analysis. Assist with annual audits and provide supporting documentation as requested. Review financial transactions to ensure compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Collaborate with internal departments regarding financial reporting and budgeting needs. Assist with process improvements and special projects as assigned. Senior Accountant Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries. Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with process improvements and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-5+ years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP. Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close. Experience preparing reconciliations and journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Nonprofit accounting experience. Grant accounting or grant reporting experience. Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Blackbaud, or similar accounting software. Audit support experience.
