Senior Accountant

Our client is a growing consumer products and distribution organization seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with leadership, and identifying process improvements that drive business results. The ideal candidate is technically strong, naturally curious, and thrives on improving processes while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances. Support sales and use tax compliance and reporting. Assist with external audits and US GAAP compliance. Partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership teams on financial analysis and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies. Support special projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of US GAAP. Experience with month-end close and financial reporting. General ledger, reconciliations, and financial analysis experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience working within an ERP system. Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical abilities. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Experience in consumer products, distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or multi-entity environments. Sales and use tax experience. Experience implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies.
