Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Burnsville, Minnesota

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary-aged students with your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist. You'll work in a collaborative atmosphere, providing essential speech and language services in one or two nearby buildings. With a manageable caseload of around 50 students, you'll make an immediate impact by helping children develop crucial communication skills during the academic year.


This contract position runs through June 5th, offering consistency and a defined schedule of 7.25 hours per day. Emphasizing school-based practice in a pediatric setting, your focus will be on diagnostics, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and documenting student progress. Support is available for Clinical Fellows when supervision arrangements can be made.


Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Minnesota SLP licensure (or eligibility)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though CFY candidates considered with available supervision
• Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations
• Familiarity with IEP processes and school documentation requirements
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Adaptable and compassionate approach to diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and deliver individual/group therapy to elementary students
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough records and participate in meetings as needed
• Consult on strategies to support classroom teachers and students
• Foster a supportive, positive environment conducive to learning
