Position Overview

We're seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a school-based setting. In this role, you'll provide specialized instruction, collaborate with educational teams, and help students achieve their academic and developmental goals through individualized support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs

• Implement individualized educational plans and accommodations

• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff

• Participate in IEP meetings and student planning discussions

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Support student growth academically, socially, and emotionally

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
