We are committed to contributing positively to the communities where we live, work and play.Job DescriptionPay Rate: $28.00 - $32.00 per hourShift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - FridayDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Technician I is an entry level helper with some technical schooling completed or minimum experience in maintenance. They help assist Level II and III technicians in equipment installations, repairs, or modifications related to the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy within the manufacturing facility.Understand and follows all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environmentAssists with repairing and installing various electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units and conduit systemWork with blueprint drawings, layouts, verbal instruction and other specificationsUse various welding equipment (arc, acetylene, brazing, flame cutting) for layout and fitting, including making jigs and fixturesDiagnoses and corrects trouble in the electrical system or equipment, applying standard computations related to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipmentPerforms visual and mechanical inspections to confirm machinery is in good condition, ensuring the production of finished quality products according to order specificationsFollow the preventative maintenance program as established by the company and conducts equipment inspections, taking preventive action when necessaryMaintain buildings, performing minor repairsNotifies management regarding the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipmentContributes to continuous improvement efforts in work areaMay be assigned additional projects or duties as designated by Team LeaderQualificationsHigh School Diploma or recognized equivalentMinimum of (2) two years related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experienceAbility to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistFrequently exposed to work near moving mechanical partsAdditional InformationSite Address: 100 Keystone Industrial Park Rd., Suite 2B, Dunmore, PA 18512Position may require some off shift/overtime hours when needed for machine breakdowns or preplanned maintenance work (Saturdays when production is not running for example)Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
