The ASO presents many vibrant, wide-ranging events and artists through its Delta Atlanta Symphony Hall Live presentations. Outside of the concert hall, the ASO's Behind the Curtain video concert series enables the Orchestra to reach audiences beyond city limits.We are seeking a creative and driven Graphic Design Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role focuses on supporting both print and digital graphic production across various marketing channels. The intern will collaborate with the ASO Marketing Department and other internal teams to design and refine visual content that aligns with the ASO's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Graphic Design Intern will apply their technical expertise and creative skills to develop impactful visual content across both print and digital platforms.Key responsibilities include:Assist in designing and producing visual assets for digital and print media, such as single ticket artwork, social media graphics, event collateral, and website elements.Photoshop image editing tasks including photo retouching, color correction, clipping paths, and other enhancements.Build assets according to provided specifications, maintaining consistency with project objectives and brand guidelines.Support the formatting, versioning, editing, and final delivery of graphic materials.Collaborate with team members to ensure that design concepts are executed effectively and align with creative direction.Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for content access and communication.Follow organized workflows and track tasks using project management tools like Asana to ensure timely asset delivery.Additional AttributesEye for detail and brand awareness.Knowledge of color theory/color models and font therapy.Team-oriented.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.Thrives in a fast-paced environment.Computer savvy.Enjoys all genres of music.Education/ExperienceMust be proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.Provide a link to an online portfolio.Seeking a student at a local college or university who can receive credit for an internship.Looking for a student who can commit to this position for the entire school year.Work LocationLocation: Woodruff Arts Center | 1280 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309ScheduleOn-site Tuesdays and Thursdays during normal business hours.Pay$15 per hourSummaryThis is a great opportunity for the right person to be a part of the creative marketing of a major U.S. symphony orchestra.
