Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 3x12-Hour Variable Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in a PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patient status, manage pain, and respond to changes in condition during the recovery phase
• Participate in on-call coverage, including a required 6 call shifts per 8-week period, with the expectation of arriving on-site within 30 minutes of being called
• Provide weekend on-call coverage as part of the rotation
• Float to like units within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Complete charting and documentation accurately using Epic

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license required; pending license candidates may apply, but license must be in hand prior to offer finalization
• BLS , ACLS , and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PACU or relevant RN experience required
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma hospital environment
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
• Comfort with variable shift scheduling across a range of day shift start times (0700–2300)
