Speech Language Pathologist

Overview Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Duration: August 17, 2026 – May 23, 2027 Setting: District-wide, K–12 Position Summary This role provides comprehensive speech and language services for students across multiple school sites. Responsibilities include screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. The SLP collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support student success and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and documentation standards. Key Responsibilities Screening & Evaluation — Conduct assessments for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders IEP Development — Create and implement individualized plans aligned with student goals Therapy Services — Provide evidence-based interventions to improve communication and functional skills Collaboration — Work with teachers, administrators, and related service providers Family Communication — Share progress updates and recommendations IEP Participation — Attend meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning Documentation — Maintain accurate records, reporting, and billing Compliance — Follow district, state, and federal guidelines Student Support — Assist with transitions and discharge planning as needed Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) Completion of Clinical Fellowship (preferred) Prior school-based or pediatric experience (preferred) Ideal Candidate Profile Experience in K–12 educational environments Strong background in IEP development and compliance Skilled in supporting diverse speech and language needs Collaborative, student-focused, and adaptable Strong communication and organizational abilities Supervision May supervise SLPAs, Clinical Fellows, and interns/students as permitted by state practice guidelines.
