Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Speech‑Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join an early childhood education team. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to students. This role includes implementing treatment plans, supporting communication development, documenting student progress, and collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers. Assignment Dates: August 17, 2026 – May 23, 2027 Schedule: Full‑time, traditional K‑12 school schedule Responsibilities Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist. Implement therapy activities and interventions based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and treatment plans. Support students with speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing goals as directed by the supervising SLP. Prepare therapy materials, activities, and instructional resources. Collect, record, and maintain accurate student data and progress documentation. Assist with speech, language, and hearing screenings under the direction of the supervising SLP. Communicate student progress and observations to the supervising SLP. Assist with parent, family, and caregiver education as directed. Complete required documentation, service logs, and billing records accurately and on time. Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant therapy environment. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Follow all district, state, federal, licensing, and confidentiality requirements. Minimum Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field. Current Speech‑Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license or registration, as required by state regulations. Completion of required supervision and clinical training in accordance with state guidelines. Previous school‑based or pediatric clinical experience preferred. Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with preschool or early childhood students. Ability to build positive relationships with young learners and families. Strong attention to detail with documentation and data collection. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Professional, dependable, and able to follow the direction of a supervising Speech‑Language Pathologist. Work Environment Early childhood school setting. Frequent collaboration with Speech‑Language Pathologists, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
