Job Responsibilities

• Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to develop a unified approach to care.
• Educate patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinic visits.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Keep accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers to stay updated with field advancements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• BLS certification required within the first month of employment.
