Description

• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on areas such as language skills, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing challenges.
• Engage collaboratively with a team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Support with occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuum of care on the treatment journey.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and timely, in accordance with state, federal, and organizational procedures.
• Remain abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
