Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Brooklyn, NY

About the Job:

• Private school, servicing children with autism, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SLP to join our program.

• Disorders can live full and productive lives as integrated members of the community.

• Recognizing that each child presents his/her own unique strengths and challenges, as we champion a multi-disciplinary approach rather than relying on one strict modality.

• Our integrated model begins with a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and the teaching philosophy integrates speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, behavioral skills and social skills training under the umbrella of ABA.

• The utilization of this collaborative model facilitates the educational practices and behavioral treatments that have proven effective in educating students with disabilities.

• Our primary goal is to help each student progress to the point at which they can thrive in less restrictive educational and community settings.

Job Requirements:

• Experience with AAC, PECS, PROMPT, Oral Sensory-Motor, and/or feeding is preferred.

• CCC - SLP's are preferred but strong CFY candidates are considered

• Knowledge and experience with ABA, behavioral strategies, play therapy and the treatment of children with autism, specifically, is a plus.

1. Monday through Thursday 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM and Friday 8:15 AM - 2:00 PM

   OR

2. Monday through Thursday 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 8:15 AM - 2:00 PM
