Bookkeeper/Accountant

We're looking for an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping needs of our business.Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.This is a hands-on position for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities. You'll handle everything from daily transactions and reconciliations to accounts payable/receivable, reporting, payroll, and collections.This is a full-time, in-person position (Monday–Friday) from 9:00am to 6:00pm in a New York City office. ResponsibilitiesDaily Accounting & BookkeepingEnter and categorize daily transactions in QuickBooks Online and our ERP systemMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial recordsKeep accounting documents and files organizedAccounts Payable & ReceivableProcess vendor invoices and customer paymentsManage accounts payable and accounts receivableReview aging reports and monitor outstanding balancesReconciliationsComplete monthly bank and credit card reconciliationsResolve discrepanciesCollectionsFollow up with customers regarding outstanding invoicesCommunicate regularly with customers to help ensure timely paymentFinancial ReportingPrepare monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statementsProvide management with regular updates on financial activity and performancePayrollProcess payroll and maintain employee recordsCompliance & Audit SupportMaintain accurate records in accordance with accounting standardsPrepare documentation and assist with audits and financial reviews as neededQualifications5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceStrong working knowledge of QuickBooks xhyhwjd OnlineStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingProficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulasExperience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and collectionsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAble to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesComfortable communicating with customers, vendors, and coworkersExperience with a CPA firm or family-owned business is a plusSalary: $80,000 - $100,000Benefits:Health insurancePaid time offLocation: New York, NY (10017)
